  the conservative icon rush limbaugh passed away today.

  he had lung cancer and finally succumbed to the disease.

  what is sad and disgusting is how some people are happy and thrilled that he is gone.

  Decades ago I used to listen to him. One job I had was in a master bedroom of a home, I was bringing my tools in along with the radio. The lady was holding the front door open for me, and I casually mentioned I like to listen to Rush.

  
  

  She stopped me right there, and said, "Not in my house"! And she was not joking. I took the radio back to the truck. She happened to be the top dog of the League of women Voters in the county.

  
  

  Once he quit the comedy on the show, I lost interest in him.

  
  

  His greatest comedy was when he was on TV in the evenings; Clinton was attending the Commerce Sec. funeral, and the camera's caught him laughing with his buddy. Once he realized the camera's were on him, In a split second, Clinton changed into wiping tears from his face.

  if my faded memory is correct, tom cheiky was an overseer at 117 adams st. bldg 1 floor 3 or 4 back in the 70's.

  i don't ever recall talking with him, but my buddy did, both of us were waking up together, he asked him about all the crazy stuff we printed over the years.

  tom's reply was, 'sometimes, they just went overboard on their teachings.

  Earnest a month ago

  An announcement was made in my congregation (in the UK) this morning (Sunday, 3rd January) that the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine does not contain blood or blood fractions. It also concluded by saying that "medical care is a matter for personal decision. We do not attempt to make choices for others."
  

  Interesting that JW's are especially quiet about this in the UK. (The AstraZeneca vaccine is in use in the United Kingdom and several other nations but has not been approved yet in the U.S.)

  "While the bishops’ letter did say that the use of U.S.-approved vaccines developed by Pfizer and Moderna “is morally acceptable,” it also said that “vaccines such as [one developed by] AstraZeneca-Oxford use aborted fetal lines in design, development, production, and testing, and therefore are not a morally valid option.”
